Dental Technology

In addition to making our office comfortable and welcoming, we utilize advanced technology to ensure you are getting the best possible dental care. Some of the technologies we utilize include:

Technology to Ease Your Mind

No more sticky dental impressions! We now make crowns and Invisalign® trays from a CAD/CAM virtual model of your teeth. This technology provides a more accurate fit and we are one of 10 offices in Texas that has this patient-centered technology. Learn more…

Buffered Anesthesia

Anesthesia injections don’t have to hurt, and they don’t have to take a long time to be effective. By matching the pH of the anesthesia to that of your body, we make anesthesia more comfortable and we allow it to take effect faster.

OraVerse-Logo No Chem Name

OraVerse, Reverse Local Anesthetic

OraVerse is the first and only product of its kind to rapidly reverse the effects of your local dental anesthetic so you can feel, speak, smile, and drink normally in approximately half the time. Learn more…

T-Scan Digital Bite Measurements

T-Scan is a technology that allows us to digitally measure how much bite force is being put onto your teeth individually. We can determine if some teeth are being subjected to excess force at certain points as you bite down. This allows us to protect your teeth, your restorations, and your jaw joints from damage due to an imbalanced bite.

When you decide to correct or enhance your smile, it’s often difficult to determine ahead of time exactly what kind of results to expect. After all, a smile is a pretty personal thing, and changing your smile can feel like changing your identity. That’s where cosmetic digital imaging comes into play.

You can’t let dental anxiety keep you from getting the dental care you need. But you may also not want to take sedation to be able to overcome your anxiety. NuCalm is a drug-free approach to helping you feel relaxed at the dentist because it uses your body’s own relaxation methods to short-circuit your anxiety response. Learn more...

Cone Beam Computed Technology (CBCT)

Dr. Coats uses the CBCT scan to evaluate potential implant candidates. She also uses the system to perform virtual implants prior to the treatment to ensure a smooth, accurate, and efficient procedure the day of the implant. Because the office uses the iTero system, Dr. Coats can send data from the scan to the iTero that then constructs the stent that will guide the insertion of the actual implant. Learn more…

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

The use of platelet rich plasma (PRP), a portion of the patient’s own blood having a platelet concentration above baseline, to promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints, can be applied to various musculoskeletal problems.
